A Schedule of things to come.
These may change for various reasons, but will give you an idea of what is coming up.
Here is what is planned this week:
This week in math:
Monday (5-22): Today students will use the Pythagorean Theorem on the Coordinate System. In Direct, we will find the distance between two points on the coordinate grid using the pythagorean theorem. In Independent, students will be given time to work on and complete IXL R.1 and R.2. In Collaborative, students will work on the Final Review. Assignment(s): Glencoe Workbook pg 415-416 1-5, 13 due 5-23, IXL R.1 and R.2 due 5-25, and Final Review due 5-24.
Tuesday (5-23): Students will continue to work on finding the distance between two points on the coordinate grid using the pythagorean theorem and then end with a worksheet on the same concept. Assignment(s): Glencoe Workbook pg 415-416 1-5, 13 due 5-23, IXL R.1 and R.2 due 5-25, and Final Review due 5-25.
Wednesday (5-24): Students will be given time to work on IXL R.1 and R.2 and then go over the worksheet from yesterday. Assignment(s): IXL R.1 and R.2 due 5-25 and Final Review due 5-25
Thursday (5-25): Over the Final Review and last given time in class to get IXL R.1 and R.2 completed. Early Dismissal today!
Friday (5-26): Students off today. Enjoy!
Students were instructed to be sure to have a folder or binder to hold their agendas. The agendas have all assignments and due dates, what they should be getting accomplished with their project, and websites they should be using. Please encourage them to use these agendas to keep track of their learning.

ISN information for parents and students
My Algebra Interactive Student notebook(isn)
Mathematicians use notebooks to write down useful information that they learn throughout the years. The following guidelines will help you to create an interesting and informative notebook to show what you have experienced and learned in math this year.
Throughout this journey you will be provided with all the materials it will take to create your ISN. If you are absent for any reason, it will be your responsibility to get caught up with your ISN.
Remember these guidelines as you work in your ISN:
· Writing is neat and legible
· Pages are numbered on the bottom right corner of the page
· Pages are NOT torn out of the notebook
· Mistakes are erased neatly
· All information is up to date at all times
Inside the cover of the composition book paste in the formula sheet given to you.
Done nicely, your Algebra ISN will be a very helpful resource for the rest of your years in school. Take your time and put your best effort whenever you are working in this notebook.
I am looking forward to seeing what you create,
Mrs. Kandi Fickes
